The Perfect Game Week pt. 2: SJ Chillin and the Perfect Game of SF
Now back to chronicling this eventful week!
Tuesday. A lot of lone ventures in that one— fun nonetheless. Woke up early to go swimming and recieved momentum tips by an elderly lady (who swims hella fast!) Went to Crema, one of SJ’s homiest cafe’s, for lunch and a good read. After that, I stopped by The Arsenal for the first time. The Arsenal is a HELLA DOPE art store. It has art supplies from a to z ( I recommend it for graffiti heads especially) and artwork from the owners themselves are hung all over.
Wednesday was the day I took el boyfriendo to his first Giants game. And damn. Little did we know, that game would be won perfectly. Little did we know that game would make history.
For one thing, Wednesday’s game was already personally a big deal because— c’man. I grew up in the Bay Area, how am I gonna let Christopher (el boyfriendo) live life without supporting the Giants? Lol. Real talk.
Anyway.
The roaring pride shook the stadium as the Giants persisted in its all winning game. Yes we Cain struck out nearly all players’ attempted hits and his teammates caught all those that didn’t. (Good shit Melky!) 10-0, no base-runners, and as told to me by a big Giants fan friend— “There’s only been 22 out of the 350,000 games played over 130 years of baseball.” And as told by my Ate Angie, being at that game is equivalent to winning baseball lotto.
Man. The odds were so ever in our favor. Yee yee to the mfkn SF Giants!
Hope you venture around your hometown[s] too this summer! Man. I love the Bay.
